GENERATION SIGMA
DATES: April 11-April 14, 2002
You should plan on arriving at the
Rendezvous between 3-7pm on Thursay, April 11. You can also arrive on Friday if
you can't make it on Thursday. Plan on departing Sunday morning
after breakfast.
LOCATION: Norfork Trout Dock, Norfork, Arkansas
It is located in north central Arkansas where the
North Fork and White Rivers come together. The telephone number is
870-499-5500. We will be having our meetings at a house near the Norfork Trout
Dock. Our accommodations will be in the house and cabins nearby.
FISHING:
You don’t have to have had previous fishing experience
to attend. For those who would like to we will fish all day Saturday in boats
with three to a boat. There will be enough experienced fishermen in our group
that if you need help, it won’t be a problem. The cost will be $20 per day for
the boat rental and $11.50 for a 3-day license with a trout stamp. If you would
like to fly fish you will just need a license.
COST: $100, $25 for students
This includes housing, four meals
(Saturday-all meals, Sunday-breakfast), and snacks (Eat Friday evening dinner
on your own before arriving).
A non-refundable deposit of $25
needs to be sent to David English by March
15 in order to reserve housing and
boats (3261Eden Drive, Springdale, AR 72762).
If you are on staff with Campus
Crusade for Christ you can make an account transfer from your personal account
for the Rendezvous costs (except fishing license).
If you are a student you can raise
support and be reimbursed for your Rendezvous expenses. All checks should be made
out to Generation Sigma.
DIRECTIONS:
If you plan to fly, you can arrive
in Springfield/Branson (MO), or Northwest Arkansas Regional airports. The
distance is about the same from both airports.
If you are driving south from
Mountain Home, AR take Highway 5S. As you enter Norfork go over the North Fork
Bridge and take a right just before the Wolfe House (an historical monument).
Go past the Woodmen’s Sports Shop (on your right) cross over the railroad
tracks, and take the first left turn into the subdivision (River Meadows). We
are meeting at the 4th house on your right.
If you are driving north on Highway
5 then take a left just after the Wolfe House (If you cross the bridge you have
gone too far).
You will take the same directions
from there.
