About Generation Sigma

Picture of a running man from the cover of the Authentic Manhood box--scanned in Generation Sigma is a relational network of college-aged and adult men across the United States who are united by their commitment to pursue masculinity and spirituality. The Quest for Authentic Manhood has been used as an introduction to the Generation Sigma network of men. Generation Sigma is committed to help men grow in greater intimacy with God and to live lives of greater dependency upon HIm. It is also committed to help men through small-group peer relationships to grow in a greater bondedness with other men with whom they have trust relationships. Comments about Generation Sigma

"God has used my Sigma Team as a means of providing great grace and encouragement over the last eight years. All of us have experienced many of the same life transitions at virtually the same time in our lives. We have faced similar career challenges and the three of us even got married within a six-month period. God has used Scott and Danny to help clarify God's direction for my life, to discern who to marry, and to continually encourage me to not settle for anything less than God's perfect plan for my life. These men are like anchors that give me confidence and support in a very uncertain world. I am grateful for them and look forward to how God will continue to use us in each other's lives for years to come."
Whitney - San Antonio, Texas

"The things I have learned through Generation Sigma have had a great impact upon my life. I had never been exposed to any kind of Biblical teaching on manhood. I guess that I was just supposed to find out on my own. Needless to say, I developed a warped picture of what I thought a man was supposed to look like. That picture looked nothing like me so I never really thought I
could be a "real man".
Through Generation Sigma, I learned that my masculinity and my being a man was not based upon my athletic ability, the kind of car I drove, or even my dating life. For the first time I realized it was possible for me to become a man. I could become, not the world's idea of a man, but God's view of a man.
During the Manhood Ceremony, I made a decision that I would adopt God's view of manhood and ditch my own. I look back on that night knowing it was when I became a man.
One of the biggest changes that I have seen in my life is how I deal with natural inclinations to be passive; to just float through life and accept whatever comes along. I know now that God has moved me beyond being passive to being an initiator. He has moved me from being a life taker to being a life giver. I am still tempted to slip back into passivity because it is easier, but I know what it is like to be an initiator and the satisfaction there is in a life that comes from rejecting passivity."
Daniel - Lexington, Kentucky

"Generation Sigma continues to be a source for spiritual growth in my life. God has used other men to radically rearrange the priorities of my life. They have helped me in my walk with the Lord, marriage, and my family. I am very thankful for this input in my life. My wife has seen real change in me and I know one day my children will realize what all of this has meant."
Todd - Indianapolis, Indiana

"This has helped me to understand the necessity of having a close team of peers to walk through life together."
Shon - Fresno State University
